V našem prostředí dosud systematická výkladová monografie Wittgensteinovi věnována nebyla. Přítomná práce se soustřeďuje právě na tzv. "střední", přechodové období s jeho unikátními "fenomenologickými" intuicemi: na úlohu "fenoménů", které vedou a určují logickou formu jazyka vypovídajícího o světě, na rozbor forem barvy, prostoru a času, které jsou nezbytným předpokladem smysluplné zkušenosti, tj. zkušenosti artikulované smysluplným jazykem, nebo na úlohu situovaného aktéra. Obrat k pozdnímu Wittgensteinovi se tak ukazuje ne jako prosté odmítnutí traktátovské koncepce, nýbrž jako složité nahlédnutí toho, že pokus o opravu traktátovského rámce "fenomenologickými" prostředky nebyl úspěšný.
