V první části knihy jsou shromážděny více než dvě desítky časopiseckých rozhovorů s Josefem Sudkem z let 1936-76, tato pramenná edice poprvé přináší v celku jejich úplné a doslovné znění. Publikované rozhovory doplňují přepisy dvou nahrávek z archivu Českého rozhlasu. Druhá část knihy obsahuje unikátní soubor vzpomínek pamětníků, Sudkových kolegů a přátel, které na začátku 80. let zaznamenal fotograf Petr Hron. V tomto rozsahu celek jím shromážděných vzpomínek rovněž dosud publikován nebyl, část přepisů byla pořízena až pro toto vydání. Třetí část tvoří původně ineditní sborník "Pocta Josefu Sudkovi", který k autorovým osmdesátinám začal pořádat Jaroslav Anděl. Po jeho odchodu do exilu pracoval na shromažďování příspěvků Antonín Dufek. Sborník obsahuje pětadvacet textových příspěvků nejrůznějších autorů několika generací, od Jana Lauschmanna a Adolfa Schneebergera po Petra Rezka, a také příspěvky výtvarné. Část původní obrazové přílohy, včetně fotografií zachycujících Josefa Sudka, je v přítomném svazku reprodukována. Čtenářům se v této knize dostává do rukou mnohostranný portrét Josefa Sudka a jeho díla, tvořený jeho vlastními slovy, zachycený očima jeho nejbližších přátel i z odstupu uměnovědné reflexe. Fotografie boli umiestnené v ozdobnom kufríku z hrubých lepenkových dosiek potiahnutých červeným knihárskym plátnom, na ktorom je zlatým písmom plastickou razbou uvedený titul v maďarčine a nemčine: A Magas Tátrából / Die Hohe Tatra, Ung. Karpathenverein (Maďarský karpatský spolok). Kufrík obsahoval 30 fotografií. Mal rozmery: výška 26,0 cm, šírka 33,2 cm, hĺbka 4,5 cm Titulná stránka v dvoch jazykoch obsahuje názov albumu a meno autora fotografií. Tu sú tiež publikované početné ocenenia získané autorom fotografie na rôznych výstavách od roku 1869. Samozrejme, naše vydanie doznalo niekoľko zmien, daných nielen možnosťami súčasnej techniky, ale aj snahou umožniť širšej verejnosti mať v svojej knižnici doma nádherné Divaldovy fotografie.
