Abraham Harold Maslow (1908 – 1970) byl americký psycholog, jeden ze zakladatelů humanistické psychologie a jeden z nejcitovanějších psychologů. Narodil se v Brooklynu do rodiny židovských přistěhovalců. Studoval na City College of New York a University of Wisconsin. Poté, co přednášel čtrnáct let na Brooklyn College, nastoupil v roce 1951 na pozici vedoucího katedry psychologie na Brandeis University. V letech 1967-1968 předsedal Americké psychologické asociaci. Je autorem mnoha přednášek, odborných článků a publikací (Psychologie vědy, Motivace a osobnost, Náboženství, hodnoty a vrcholné zážitky, Principy abnormální psychologie). Maslow je představitelem humanistické psychologie jako třetího proudu v psychologii vedle psychoanalýzy a behaviorismu a spolu s Kurtem Goldsteinem je hlavním představitelem holistického přístupu ke studiu osobnosti. V současnosti působí na lékařské fakultě Stanfordovy univerzity. Je držitelem ocenění Heinz Award za humanitní vědy a umění a nositelem Národní humanitní medaile, kterou mu v roce 2015 udělil prezident Barack Obama. Je autorem dvou memoárů a dvou románů. V češtině mu zatím vyšla jedna kniha – Řez do živého v roce 2012. Ve svých literárních dílech, odborných textech i v lékařské praxi neúnavně zdůrazňuje význam empatie, lidského přístupu, „medicíny přímo u lůžka“. „Vnímejte svět z pohledu svého pacienta,“ říká často studentům. Adéla Pristášová (herečka a dabérka) se narodila v roce 1982 v Brně. V devíti letech se přestěhovala do Prahy, kde absolvovala Pražskou státní konzervatoř pod vedením Gabriely Vránové, a Ivana Řezáče. V letech 2000-2005 hostovala v činohře Divadla Na Vinohradech např. ve hře Huncléder, Král Jelenem, Don Juan, Tomáš Beckett a dalších. Jako studentku 2. ročníku konzervatoře si ji vybral režisér Ludvík Ráža do televizní pohádky „Stín“ (1998) a téhož roku si ještě zahrála v inscenaci „Cesta Karla IV do Francie a zpět“ (rež. Od dětství se věnuje dabingu, aktuálně jejím hlasem promlouvají v českém znění například herečky: Karen Gillian (Strážci Galaxie, Jumajni), Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Solo: Star Wars Story, Indiana Jones a nástroj osudu), Gabourey Sidibe (American Horror Stories) nebo Ellen Muth (Mrtví jako já) nebo Christian Serratos (Živí mrtví).
