Kniha představuje výsledky široce koncipovaného vědeckého výzkumu, který byl v souvislosti s výročím začátku 1. světové války realizován nejen ve střední Evropě, ale i v Gruzii, Skandinávii nebo pobaltských zemích. Kniha navazuje na předchozí vydané publikace z mezinárodních workshopů věnovaných tematice holokaustu v literatuře, divadle a filmu ve střední Evropě. Tematikou dosud posledního workshopu, konaného v Praze v květnu 2014, byly možnosti a limity literární reprezentace holokaustu. Zvláštní pozornost byla přitom věnována problematice literárních druhů a žánrů. Některé příspěvky se zabývaly těmito otázkami v obecnější a širší perspektivě (Markus Roth, Bartłomiej Krupa, Anna Maria Skibska a Charlotte Kitzinger). Jiné se věnovaly jednotlivým druhům a žánrům (román, poezie, divadlo, film, komiks), specifické literární a umělecké prezentaci šoa (postholokaustová generace, autenticita versus fikce, kontext feminismu, komedie). Zaměřily se na tvorbu jednoho autora (Hana Hříbková, Šárka Sladovníková, Jiří Holý, Agata Firlej, Reinhard Ibler, Małgorzata Balcerzak, Štěpán Balík), případně na několik autorů spojených tematicky, žánrově nebo časově (Aleksandra Bąk-Zawalski, Hans-Christian Trepte, Elisa-Maria Hiemer, Marija Sruk, Urszula Kowalska). Texty vycházejí v německém a anglickém jazyce ve spolupráci s Centrem pro studium holokaustu a židovské literatury a Pražským centrem židovských studií FF UK za přispění Česko-německého fondu budoucnosti. Kniha - autor Antonín Zita, 202 stran, anglicky, brožovaná bez přebalu lesklá Kniha se zabývá srovnáním recepce autorů Beat Generation v USA a v Česku, a to ve dvou časových obdobích - v 50. a 60. letech 20. století a poté od 90. let až do současnosti. Zatímco samotné publikace Beat Generation autorů zůstaly nezměněné, kontexty těchto publikací byly zásadně odlišné: v USA byla díla autorů Beat Generation často redukována senzacechtivými kritiky na nevyzrálé vychvalování drog, sexu i násilí, v Československu naopak tito autoři získali přízeň čtenářů díky neobvyklosti svého literárního jazyka, kterou jejich próza a poezie představovaly na literárním trhu značně pokřiveném tezemi socialistického realismu. Tato studie tedy dokládá, jak mohou odlišné kontexty ovlivnit přístup čtenářů k literárnímu textu a jejich autorům, což ve výsledku pomáhá přeměnit daný text na odlišné umělecké dílo. (alza.cz)

eBook:,Zhoršení vztahů mezi Ruskem a západními zeměmi v uplynulých deseti letech provázelo mimo jiné i vzájemné obviňování z politizace energetických dodávek. Rusko je v tomto smyslu nejčastěji obviňováno spotřebitelskými zeměmi, že dodávky energetických surovin zneužívá jako nátlakového nástroje k dosažení svých zahraničněpolitických cílů. Nejvyhrocenější spory se v tomto ohledu odehrály v souvislosti s přerušením dodávek ruského zemního plynu, které v lednu 2009 významně dopadlo zejména na region jihovýchodní Evropy. Dopad na státy v této části kontinentu byl tvrdý s ohledem na jejich závislost na energetických importech a struktuře ekonomiky. Autor v této knize odpovídá na otázku, zda Ruská federace skutečně zneužívá plynové dodávky jako mocenský nástroj a za jakých podmínek takovéto zneužití hrozí. Na případech 13 zemí zkoumá, na kolik Rusko skrze státem vlastněnou ruskou společnost Gazprom a její dceřiné společnosti jedná dle tzv. strategického přístupu k energetice, tj. zda tyto společnosti fungují jako nástroje ruské zahraniční politiky.
