Monografia zachytáva spoločné črty vývoja práva v priestore stredovýchodnej Európy za posledných približne 1500 rokov. Dôraz je v tejto publikácii kladený na vývoj práva na území štátov Vyšehradskej štvorky ako území doteraz zaznávanom predstaviteľmi prúdu porovnávacích právnych dejín či európskych právnych dejín. Vzájomná historická previazanosť skúmaných štátov sa prejavuje v ich podobnej právnohistorickej skúsenosti, čiastočne odlišnej od západoeurópskeho vývoja práva. Publikácia približuje vybrané príznaky právnych dejín spoločné štátom v tomto regióne, a to najmä v podobe pomerne neskoršej kristianizácie práva v období raného stredoveku, v podobe historickoprávnej skúsenosti s byzantským právnym vplyvom v rámci cyrilometodskej misie, ale tiež spočívajúce v zachovávaní domácich právnych tradícií s pomerne slabšou romanizáciou práva v období vrcholného stredoveku a v novoveku či v odlišnom chápaní feudálneho zriadenia v porovnaní so západnou Európou. Ďalšie spoločné znaky právnych dejín stredovýchodnej Európy predstavujú špecificky pretransformované vzory liberalizmu a západných právnych riešení v právnych dejinách 19. a 20. storočia, kedy táto časť Európy zároveň prešla rozsiahlymi premenami v dôsledku myšlienky etnického národa a národného štátu. Osobitnou spoločnou východoeurópskou skúsenosťou sú potom v 20. storočí rozsiahle zásahy do vlastníckych pomerov (pozemkové reformy, konfiškácie, znárodnenia), prudké štátoprávne premeny a viacnásobné zmeny hraníc v tejto časti Európy, či napokon doteraz badateľný vplyv sovietskych právnych vzorov. Jedinečnou je v tejto súvislosti tiež právna skúsenosť s opakovanými spoločenskými prechodmi medzi totalitou a demokraciou, v recentnom období spojená, navyše, s výzvami europeizácie a globalizácie práva. Všetky uvedené jedinečné skúsenosti spájajú štáty stredovýchodnej Európy a ovplyvňujú ich príbuznú právnu identitu a kultúru, často dostatočne nepochopenú mimo tohto regiónu. Nepochopenie a neznalosť je však tiež dôsledkom nedostatočnej prezentácie spoločných právnohistorických tradícií stredovýchodnej Európy na celoeurópskom fóre. Československo zrušilo šľachtické tituly už v roku 1918, jedným z úplne prvých (a dodnes stále platných) zákonov prijatých po vzniku štátu – zákonom č. 61/1918 Zb. z. a n. To však novej republike paradoxne nebránilo, aby vzápätí v rámci svojich štátnych vyznamenaní zaviedla aj hodnostný stupeň „rytier“. Dodnes pritom na území bývalého Československa prežívajú rôznorodé šľachtické spolky a rytierske rády – a dokonca zažívajú rozkvet. V médiách sa stretávame s označovaním republikánskych politikov titulom „kníže“ a medzi právnikmi sa diskutuje o aktuálnosti a právnom statuse storočného zákona o zrušení šľachtictva. V Maďarsku sa zas otvorene zdôrazňuje kontinuita s tisícročným kráľovstvom a v názve štátu sa upúšťa od označenia „republika“. Otázka právneho statusu šľachty, šľachtických titulov a rytierskych rádov sa tak aj dnes javí byť legitímnou a zároveň aktuálnou, a to aj v súčasnej Slovenskej a Českej republike – osobitne s poukazom na sté výročie prijatia zákona č. 61/1918 Zb. z. a n. (prijatý 10. decembra 1918). Publikácia má za cieľ zodpovedať túto otázku v porovnaní s obdobnými právnymi úpravami a aktuálnym stavom v najbližšom zahraničí, vrátane analýzy národnej a medzinárodnej súdnej praxe minulosti aj súčasnosti. Publikace shrnuje příspěvky z mezinárodního workshopu konaného v listopadu 2011 v Praze. Seminář se zabýval tématem šoa/holokaustu v literatuře, v divadle a filmu v padesátých a šedesátých letech. Navázal na předchozí workshopy v německém Gießenu a v polské Łódzi (2010, 2011). Jednotlivé příspěvky se soustřeďují zvláště na českou a polskou literaturu (Jiří Weil, Norbert Frýd, Jan Otčenášek, Ladislav Fuks, Josef Škvorecký, Adolf Rudnicki, diskurz šoa v polské literatuře), na drama a divadlo (Leon Kruczkowski, Ireneusz Iredyński, Hedda Zinner, západoněmecké drama s tématem šoa), film (Spalovač mrtvol, Jákob lhář), ale také na kresby dětí v Terezíně či zobrazení šoa z pohledu dítěte. Učebnica politickej, právnej a sociálnej filozofie, ktorá predstavuje teoretické riešenia politicko-právnych a právno-filozofických problémov v jednotlivých etapách vývoja politického a právneho myslenia i spoločenských zmien, ktoré boli významnými ideovými počinmi reflektované. Zákonom č. 69/2018 Z. z. o kybernetickej bezpečnosti sa do slovenského právneho poriadku transponuje smernica Európskeho parlamentu a Rady (EÚ) 2016/1148 zo 6. júla 2016 o opatreniach na zabezpečenie vysokej spoločnej úrovne bezpečnosti sietí a informačných systémov v Únii. Cieľom Smernice, rovnako ako aj zákona č. 69/2018 Z. z., je zaistiť ochranu informačným systémom a sieťam pred narušením buď samotných technických zariadení, alebo údajov, ktoré sa v nich spracovávajú, alebo služieb, ktoré sa pomocou nich poskytujú. Zákon nadobudol účinnosť 1. apríla 2018 a jeho primárnym adresátom – prevádzkovateľom základných služieb a poskytovateľom digitálnych služieb – vznikajú povinnosti splniť požiadavky zákona najneskôr k 1. októbru 2018. Identifikačné kritériá základnej služby (a ich prevádzkovateľov) sú uvedené vo vykonávacom predpise (vyhláška NBÚ č. 164/2018 Z. z., ktorou sa určujú identifikačné kritériá prevádzkovanej služby). Digitálne služby a ich poskytovatelia zahŕňajú online trhoviská, internetové vyhľadávače a služby v oblasti cloud computingu, ktoré poskytuje právnická osoba alebo fyzická osoba-podnikateľ, ktorá zároveň zamestnáva aspoň 50 zamestnancov a má ročný obrat alebo celkovú ročnú bilanciu viac ako 10 000 000 eur.
