The general aim of the book is to describe and explain the current socio-spatial differentiation of Prague and the Central Bohemian Region and the processes that have influenced it during the first two decades of the twenty-first century. The book offers its own theoretical perspective on the structuration of spatial patterns and the social environment, a general view of regional development, and the main socio-spatial processes of the period after transition. Maps are an important part of this volume and concentrate crucial information within most chapters. Apart from the static information described in the maps, the book offers a look at current population “processes”, as hinted at by the subtitle of the publication. The presentation and evaluation of “processes” require more dynamic forms of cartographic visualisation and new methods of investigation. Obraz každodenního života dokresluje svědectví kuchyňské a stolní keramiky, kamnových kachlů a kovového inventáře, stejně jako o proměny měšťanských domů a dvorů za nimi. Spolu s prvním svazkem srovnává soudobou situaci v Brně a Wroclawi. Publikované sklo je dosud největším detailně zveřejněným souborem a dokresluje význam Chrudimi ve středověku. ----- Mediaeval archaeology has discovered large assemblages of mediaeval glass that have changed the assessment of the role of this commodity in the mediaeval household. Findings from seven houseplots of the historic core of town of Chrudim from the 13th - 17th centuries were evaluated. They demonstrate that sophisticated ways of dining were common in bourgeois households. From the 16th century onwards, the originally domestic glass was supplemented with luxury items from abroad. The picture of everyday life is completed by testimony of kitchen and table ceramics, stove tiles and metal inventory, as well as the transformations of bourgeois houses and the yards behind them. Together with first volume, it compares the contemporary situation in Brno a Wroclaw. The published glass is the largest detailed set published so far from Czech Republic and illustrates the importance of Chrudim in the Middle Ages.
