Vyjadruje sa tu k poézii jeho doby, odsudzuje doterajšie umenie, zriadenie, náboženstvo a pohľad na lásku. 14. apríla 1930 Majakovskij ukončil svoj život dobrovoľnou smrťou. Svetu však zanechal tvorbu, ktorá neprestáva žiť a je uznávaná celým kultúrnym svetom.
