Neochvějného vyšetřovatele, který zná lépe své zločince než vlastní domácnost, čeká plavba plná překvapení… Frédéric Lenormand (nar. 1964) je francouzský spisovatel historických a detektivních románů a literatury pro děti a mládež. Vystudoval ruský, anglický a italský jazyk a následně pokračoval ve studiu na Institutu politických studií v Paříži a na Sorbonně. Během devadesátých let získal za své historické romány a detektivky řadu různých ocenění, proto se začal literární dráze věnovat naplno. Vedle série detektivních případů z období Francouzské revoluce se rozhodl psát nové příběhy čínského soudce Ti a stal se tak pokračovatelem slavného Roberta van Gulika.
