Připravila Galerie hlavního města Prahy a Julian Heynen, kurátor výstavy. Richard Deacon (nar.1949) je držitelem v pořadí 4. Turnerovy ceny z roku 1987 a řádu Britského impéria. Jeho sochařské dílo patří od osmdesátých let k nejvýznamnějším nejen v rámci silné generace anglických tvůrců, jako jsou Antony Gormley, Anish Kapoor, Alison Wilding, Tony Cragg a další, ale také k nejvýraznějším a nejsledovanějším v celosvětovém měřítku. Svědčí o tom řada jeho výstav v předních výstavních institucích všech kontinentů, i mnohé monumentální realizace od Kalifornie až po Tokio.
