Z průniku oral history přístupu a techniky mentálního mapování vznikla při výzkumu nová kategorie tzv. "vzpomínkových map". Studie dále analyzovala funkci a dynamiku alternativních veřejných prostorů, které v této části Liberce neformálně vznikají. Autoři navrhli novou metodiku výuky na základní škole, která pomáhá dětem najít kladný vztah k veřejnému prostoru a k jeho hodnotám. Závěrečnou kapitolu tvoří architektonické návrhy studentů Fakulty umění a architektury Technické univerzity v Liberci, které utvářejí veřejný prostor jak podle výzkumu v terénu, tak i podle teoretického zhodnocení výsledků výzkumu.
