Životní názory kocoura Moura jsou tedy polyfonním dílem, svou výstavbou připomínajícím princip hudebního kontrapunktu. Zdánlivě nesouvisející příběhy se totiž ve skutečnosti doplňují, prostupují, jeden v druhém se zrcadlí a vzájemně osvětlují. Právě prolínání obou příběhů činí z četby tohoto „dvojrománu“ nevšední čtenářský požitek.
