Publikace se zabývá energetickou bezpečností v regionu Střední Asie s důrazem na sektor zemního plynu. Výzkum představený v této knize se pokusil zodpovědět otázku, zda jsou jednotliví státní aktéři ve Střední Asii více nakloněni strategickému, nebo tržnímu přístupu k formulaci energetické politiky. Zodpovězení této výzkumné otázky cílilo na lepší pochopení jejich přístupu k velkým infrastrukturním projektům, jako je například výstavba plynovodu Střední Asie - Čína. Na základě teoretické literatury byl sestaven model pro posuzování sektoru zemního plynu z hlediska formulace energetické politiky jednotlivých státních aktérů. This publication has several modest goals: We shall describe how we conceptualised religious memory for the purposes of qualitative and quantitative survey research, and we shall explain how we operationalised religious communicative and cultural memory and why we believe that the questionnaire we designed and present here can also be applied in other contexts outside Czech society. Given the volume of data we obtained, we want to present at least a portion of our results and show what types of findings were achieved through our conceptualisation and operationalisation of religious memory. Finally, we want to present non-Czech-speaking readers with a comprehensive work describing changes in religiosity in Czech society, in this case from the perspective of memory studies. The Stalin Plan for the Transformation of Nature, which was launched in the USSR in autumn of 1948, had a fundamental impact on the approach to postwar reconstruction and the reshaping of nature and the environment in Czechoslovakia. This publication outlines the main features of this ambitious plan, whose implementation in Czechoslovakia was entrusted to Rudolf Slánský and Josef Smrkovský. It examines the plan’s implementation and its institutional foundation and explores natural resource management in the context of Communist Czechoslovakia’s radical rejection of Malthusian theories. An investigation of the continuity and discontinuity between the interwar and postwar periods demonstrates the possibilities and limits of the Sovietization policies enacted by the new elites.
