Jitka Svobodová začínala jako malířka abstrahujících krajin a přírodních živlů. V první polovině sedmdesátých let se rozhodla opustit malbu a věnovat se kresbě; skrze toto médium v plošných i prostorových realizacích zobrazovala jak předměty každodenního života, konstrukce a různé typy vazeb, tak jevy jako kouř či pohyb mořské hladiny. Ve své celoživotní tvorbě se dotkla základních otázek souvisejících jak se samotným tvořením, tak s procesem poznání. Výstava a katalog (průvodce výstavou) představují její tvorbu od dob studií na Akademii výtvarného umění, které ukončila v roce 1967, až po práce z roku 2023. Architektem výstavy byl Josef Pleskot, katalog je postaven na fotografiích z instalace, která ukazuje pozoruhodný dialog mezi oběma osobnostmi. Josef Pleskot je také autorem textu, ve kterém naznačuje svůj tvůrčí přístup. When Wilde later enlarged the novel for publication in book form, he responded to his critics by further toning down its "immoral" elements.Wilde famously said that The Picture of Dorian Gray "contains much of me": Basil Hallward is "what I think I am," Lord Henry "what the world thinks me," and "Dorian what I would like to be-in other ages, perhaps." Wilde's comment suggests a backward glance to a Greek or Dorian Age, but also a forward-looking view to a more permissive time than his own repressive Victorian era. By implication, Wilde would have preferred we read today the uncensored version of his novel.
