Během normalizace byla Janouškova veřejná a výstavní činnost utlumena. Sochařská období krystalů a růstu, kyvadel a variabilů propojil motivem času Janouškova oblíbeného básníka Františka Halase kurátor Karel Srp. Vystavená díla zapůjčily státní a soukromé sbírky převážně z ČR, mnohá budou velkým překvapením, protože takto rozsáhlá prezentace Janouškova díla dosud nebyla možná ani za jeho života, ani po roce 1990. Do třech pater hlavní budovy musea umístil architekt výstavy Dominik Lang téměř dvě stovky uměleckých děl. Sochy, objekty a reliéfy doprovázejí kresby a fotografie doplněné autentickým nábytkem ze smíchovské vily Janouškových.
