For the past ten years, London-based Scala Arts & Heritage Publishers Ltd. has been publishing a series titled Director's Choice presenting the world's major museums and galleries through the eyes of their respective directors. One of the 2019 additions to this edition is a selection by Roman Musil, Director of the Gallery of West Bohemia in Pilsen, which introduces - in Czech and English versions - thirty-seven landmark works from the institution's extensive art collections. The book comprises works of art from the mid-fourteenth century to the end of the twentieth century.
