"Všechny skutečnosti popisované v této knize jsou přísně pravdivé", píše v úvodu knihy autor. Ve Vorkutě se setkal také se svým krajanem, francouzem Armandem Maloumianem, který napsal o svém 10 letém pobytu v gulagu knihu SYNOVÉ GULAGU. V knize najdete též mapku s vyobrazení cesty z Oděsy až do Vorkuty.
