This was a very interesting period in the development of the BR steam locomotive fleet in the 1950s. There were many venerable pre-grouping classes still around and thousands of locomotives built or designed by the Big Four, but by 1954 all of the British Railways Standard classes were in production, including the unique Class 8 Pacific No 71000 Duke of Gloucester and the first of the 9Fs which entered service that year. Peter Cook has been a pivotal figure within the architecture world for over half a century. He first came to international renown in the 1960s as a founder of the radical, experimental group Archigram, winners of the 2002 RIBA Royal Gold Medal. "LTC Praha 1927 - 1950 - Historie legendárního hokejového klubu", na 240 stranách přibližuje 23 let trvající existenci jednoho z nejlepších evropských hokejových týmů třicátých let minulého století, jehož hráči tvořili po dvě desetiletí základ československého reprezentačního týmu, včetně týmů mistrů světa z let 1947 a 1949. Po likvidaci klubu komunistickou mocí v roce 1950 se o klubu, jeho vynikajících výsledcích, na dnešní poměry zcela nepředstavitelné dominanci na domácím ledě, ani o většině jeho vynikajících hráčů, nemohlo mluvit a psát, a klub, i díky nezájmu hokejových publicistů, téměř upadl do zapomnění. Ani svobodné poměry po roce 1990 nepřinesly výraznou změnu, a do dnešních dnů se hokejový klub, který v letech 1927 - 1950 s výjimkou dvou sezon zcela ovládl nejvyšší domácí hokejové soutěže, nedočkal publikace, která by hokejovou veřejnost podrobně seznámila s jeho slavnou historií a výjimečnými hráči.
