eBook:,This monograph has set itself the goal to examine, outline, elucidate, and supplement the existing body of knowledge concerning a theme from patristic and medieval theology recalled in 1953 by Marie-Dominique Chenu, and that is the assertion that man was created as a replacement for fallen angels (Yves Congar: créature de remplacement; Louis Bouyer: ange de remplacement). The study first shows that the idea of man having being created to take the place of fallen angels was introduced by St. Augustine and developed by other church fathers. It then identifies the typical contexts in which the subject was raised by authors of the early Middle Ages, but goes on to focus on the discussion that developed during the twelfth century (Anselm of Canterbury, the school of Laon, Rupert of Deutz, Honorius of Autun), which represents the high point of the theme under investigation, culminating in the assertion that man is an "original" being, created for its own sake, for whom God created the world – a world which together with, and through, man is destined for the heavenly Jerusalem. The question as to whether man would have been created if the angels had not sinned (cur homo) bears a clear similarity to a further controversy, the origins of which also go back to the twelfth century, and that is whether the Son of God would have become incarnate if man had not sinned (cur Deus homo). Next, the book sheds light on how the subject begins to gradually fade away through the twelfth and thirteenth centuries, both within monastic tradition, which nonetheless held onto Augustine's motif, and within scholastic theology, which asserted that man was created for his own sake. Román publikovali pod pseudonymom Conny Keyber, ale autorovi súčasníci aj dnešní literárni historici a kritici sa zhodujú, že jeho autorom bol Fielding. Dielo bolo mienené ako satirický útok na román v listoch Samuela Richardsona Pamela alebo Odmenená cnosť, ktorý vyšiel o necelého polroka skôr. Román v listoch podával príbeh chudobnej, ale cnostnej slúžky, odolávajúcej zvodom svojho pána, lorda B., až je ten donútený vziať si ju za manželku, sa stal obrovským bestsellerom a v priebehu pár dní sa dočkal druhého vydania. Fielding svojím dielom nenapadol len pokrytecký príbeh o nevinnom dievčati, ktoré predalo svoju cnosť za dobré postavenie vo vyšších kruhoch, ale aj prehnanú patetickú reklamu vo forme oslavných listov a veršov, ktoré vyšli v druhom vydaní Pamely. Sám Richardson si uvedomil svoju chybu a z ďalších vydaní tieto materiály stiahol, ale už bolo neskoro. Fielding v Klamele nielen majstrovsky parodoval a útočil na slabé miesta v prozaickej konštrukcii Pamely, ale aj tvorivo rozvíjal možnosti obsiahnuté v tomto diele. A navyše voľbou svojho pseudonymu a úvodnými pasážami zaútočil aj na smiešne figúrky dobového literárneho establišmentu Colleyho Cibbera a Conyersa Middletona, ktoré sa vnímali ako chválospev na politické pôsobenie kontroverzného a skorumpovaného premiéra Roberta Walpola. Fieldingovi sa podarilo niečo oveľa viac ako len parodický útok na uznávaný bestseller. Vo svojom drobnom, ale majstrovskom dielku vytvoril nezabudnuteľnú postavu Klamely, ktorá je presným opakom Pamely z Richardsonovho románu. Je otvorená a úprimná v tom, o čo jej ide: o dobré postavenie a peniaze. Svojho manžela ovláda a citovo vydiera, až kým nedosiahne svoje. Tak nám musia byť sympatické jej otvorené výroky, ktorými o vyše dve storočia predbehla správanie niektorých hviezdičiek - "zlatokopiek" šoubiznisu a sociálnych sietí. The current publication by author Vojtěch Pokorný takes as its subject not only the history of the oldest Christian sacred building in the Prague neighbourhood of Dejvice, but equally the past of the locality itself, starting from its first known settlement in late Neolithic times up to the present. Using a wide range of literature and sources, the author presents a truthful account of the oft-mythicised tales of the earliest traces of human presence in Upper Šárka and the founding of the church consecrated to St. Matthew, and in chronological succession relates the events transpiring there across the following centuries. Research into archival materials and other sources provided the basis for an imposing text that casts light on a history now nearly forgotten. The author unfolds previously neglected topics and opens the curtain for new awareness of our ancestors against the large-scale history of the Czech lands.
