Kniha sa podrobne zaoberá mimoriadnym architektonickým dielom – bratislavským krematóriom. Postavili ho pred pol storočím (1968) za neobyčajne priaznivej súhry okolností, no predchádzal tomu dlhý zápas o jeho zriadenie, ktorého počiatky siahajú až do roku 1889.
