V duchu rozvíjejícího se pop-artového hnutí se ve výtvarném umění nechával inspirovat předměty denní potřeby, kamerou se zase snažil zachytit syrovou, nehranou realitu – do svých fi lmů často obsazoval neherce a mnoho záběrů je dílem náhody a okamžiku.
