Mnoho lidí zaujímá jasné stanovisko, a to buď kladné nebo záporné, a to pouze na základě kusých informací. A to není dobře. Vždy bychom měli vědět, proč danou ideu podporujeme či zavrhujeme. A to je i cílem této publikace. Nechce nikomu nutit svůj názor. Chce pouze moderní a jednoduchou formou ukázat, jak Evropská unie funguje, co přináší běžným občanům, co jim naopak bere. To jestli budete zastánci nebo odpůrci Evropské unie, nechám pouze na Vás. Všichni máme právo na svůj osobní názor, to je demokracie. Po prostudování této publikace, budete vědět proč. Dá se říci, že je to kniha o základních kamenech Evropské unie. Mnoho otázek při přijímacích zkouškách na vysokou školu požadují základní znalosti o Evropské unii, čili tato publikace může sloužit i jako dobrý materiál pro studenty středních škol, a to nejen k již zmíněným přijímacím zkouškám, ale i jako doprovodný materiál k hodinám občanské nauky, práva či ekonomie. Publikace není žádný naučný slovník ani náročná skripta. Odpovídá na jasně definované otázky, které trápí většinu z nás. Pakliže nadřadíme právo Evropské unie nad ústavy jejích členských států i bez souhlasu těchto členských států, vstupem do Evropské unie ztrácí členský stát suverenitu. Jelikož v přístupové smlouvě, kterou podepsala Česká republika před vstupem do Evropské unie, není stanoveno, že Česká republika ztrácí svou suverenitu, a rovněž tam není stanovena zásada přednosti práva EU vůči ústavním zákonům republiky, je Česká republika stále suverénním státem. Její základní hodnoty jsou vyjádřeny v ústavě a nepodléhají žádnému cizímu právnímu řádu.
