Kniha začíná jednoho všedního odpoledne v Helsinkách. Mladého novináře přejede auto. Zemře, ale vzápětí se probudí jako duch. S živými lidmi už rozmlouvat nemůže, zato dokáže číst jejich myšlenky. Také se může zamilovat - ale jeho vyvolená musí předtím zemřít. Roztáčí se typický paasilinnovský kolotoč groteskních příhod, dobrodružství a dalekých i blízkých cest. Tentokrát však nejsou na pomezí skutečnosti, nýbrž za její hranicí. Žádní duchové přece neexistují! Nebo ano? Možná jich je mezi námi víc, než si myslíme. By the end of the campaign, approximately 30,000 British and Indian soldiers had lost their lives. This informative book will be of interest to anyone wanting a concise and accessible introduction to the conflict and will be essential reading for both students of the First World War, as well as those who have a penchant for military history in general.
