Britská new wave, ska kapela Madness založená v roce 1976 patří k nejdůležitějším skupinám nejen žánru ska, ale britské hudby vůbec, konce sedmdesátých a osmdesátých let. Dodnes je aktivní ve svém klasickém sedmičlenném obsazení.
