Terry Pratchett (1948—2015) Literární talent britského spisovatele se projevil už ve 13 letech, kdy mu ve školním časopise otiskli povídku Kšeft v Hádesu (The Hades Business, 1963). Studoval umění, historii a angličtinu, později ke svým oborům zájmu přidal i žurnalistiku, jejíž studium ovšem nedokončil, protože začal pracovat jako novinář. Postupně působil v několika redakcích regionálních i celostátních novin, na začátku 80. let se stal tiskovým mluvčím elektrárenské společnosti a od roku 1987 se plně věnoval pouze spisovatelské činnosti. První kniha s názvem Kobercové mu vyšla v roce 1971, ale důležitým zlomem v jeho kariéře bylo vydání románu Barva kouzel ze série Úžasná Zeměplocha – následovaly další a řada se rozrostla na více než čtyřicet titulů (do češtiny jeho dílo překládal Jan Kantůrek). Dvě z knih o čarodějkách v Lancre Soudné sestry a Maškaráda také uvedlo na jeviště pražské Divadlo v Dlouhé a inscenace zde zhlédnul i sám autor. Roku 1990 napsal spolu s Neilem Gaimanem humorně pojatý příběh o zrození Antikrista Dobrá znamení (Good Omens, 1990, česky 1997). V roce 1998 mu anglická královna udělila Řád britského impéria za literární dílo a „službu literatuře“. Zuzana Slavíková (* 1965) Vystudovala herectví na brněnské JAMU, do roku 2007 byla členkou Mahenova divadla v Brně a poté získala angažmá v pražském Divadle pod Palmovkou, kde působí dodnes. V letech 2002–2005 uváděla televizní soutěž Nejslabší, máte padáka!, díky které se dostala do širšího povědomí. V současnosti hojně účinkuje v seriálech (Detektiv Martin Tomsa, Četnické humoresky, Ordinace v Růžové zahradě, Přístav, Ulice), objevuje se ve filmech (Doktor od jezera hrochů, Teorie tygra), známá je díky práci v rozhlase i z dabingu. Podíváme se do Ankh-Morporku, k trpasličí firmě, která se zabývá výrobou košťat, a zažijeme dosti nezvyklou přeměnu povýšené čarodějky paní Našeptávalové. Rozloučíme se s celou řadou starých známých a jde o loučení o to těžší, že o jejich dalších osudech si už můžeme nechat jen zdát. Bylo ještě tolik knih, které chtěl Terry Pratchett napsat. Kdyby zůstal naživu, byla by nepochybně i Pastýřská koruna mnohem obsáhlejší, ale i tak je to dobrá kniha a fanouškové Terryho Pratchetta s ní jistě zažijí řadu příjemných chvil.
