Příběhy nekopírují děj seriálu, ale přichází s vlastními dobrodružstvími - samozřejmě vznikajících pod dohledem původních televizních tvůrců, v čele s Mattem Groeningem. Během října by měla vyjít první kniha sebraných spisů, ve které Homer vyroste, Bart se dostane do vězení, bude se vyšetřovat případ ztracené školní pumy, Homer se zabouchne do Selmy a do školy přijde nečekaný záskok. Kromě toho jsou příběhy doplněné krátkými epizodami točícími se kolem vedlejších postav - autobusák Otto bude bojovat s upíry, Krusty se dostane do tajných služeb a Bart bude vyprávět hororový příběh. Pak jsou tu ještě falešné reklamy a další fórky - prostě, bude toho prostě dost. A to vše v překladu originálního Simpsonovského překladatele Petra Putny. Jinak, touhle knihou to nekončí. Po Simpsonovské Extravaganze se chystají dvě další - jak pokračování těchto klasických dobrodružství, tak první kniha inspirovaná halloweenskými speciály, ve které se budou parodovat nejslavnější filmy a příběhy - od Invaze uchvatitelů těl, přes Exorcistu až po Pána prstenů. Vše se Simpsony v hlavních rolích. Ale na to je ještě času dost.

Po 40 letech stále skvělé, právem legendární album. Letošní rok učinil z Vladimíra Mišíka šestinásobného Anděla. Tato reedice dokazuje, že taková situace trvá již několik dekád. Jeho druhá dlouhohrající deska s kapelou ETC… (1980) je řazena mezi nejdůležitější položky naší rockové historie. Muzikantsky požehnané obsazení - vedle Mišíka také pánové Jan Hrubý, Petr Pokorný, Jiří Veselý, Jiří Šustera a hostující Jan Kolář - natočilo sadu devíti skladeb s puncem mimořádné trvanlivosti. Připomeňme třeba songy Nejlepší ženská našich dnů, Taxůvku jsme chytli, Variace na renesanční téma nebo Sladké je žít, aby bylo jasno, o jakou kvalitu jde. Kompozičně to obstarali členové kapely plus Jiří Jelínek, textově Michal Staša, Václav Hrabě, Josef Kainar, Hynek Žalčík, Vladimír Merta a Langston Hughes / Jiří Valja. Zvuku se letos dostalo maximální péče ve studiu Sono, obalu úprav Karla Halouna a Luďka Kubíka s využitím originálů původních obrazů Miroslava Jiránka. Cédéčko to pak v digipacku převedlo do 20 stran bookletu a přidalo bonus v podobě skladby Šero v kavárně s textem Jiřího Suchého, natočené v rámci albových frekvencí.
