Jacobsenova kniha se nevyhýbá brutálním scénám a nelítostnému odhalování lidských slabostí, je však i plná empatie. Ke slovu tu opět přichází autorova "chlapská citlivost", jak charakterizoval jeden z rysů Jacobsenova psaní přední norský kritik Leif Bull. A nebyl by to Roy Jacobsen, aby se při psaní neuchýlil také k tajuplnému, až detektivnímu matení stop.

The Rob Roy Way is one of Scotland''s Great Trails and is very popular with both walkers and cyclists.
