Murray dramaticky líčí, jak ideologie anti-rasismu pronikla do myšlení západní elity, jak ovlivňuje chod škol a institucí, pracovní zákony i veřejnou debatu. Padají sochy zakladatelů americké svobody a hrdinů občanské války. Absurdní obvinění bílé rasy z vrozeného nevyléčitelného rasismu ohrožuje legitimitu a soudržnost multietnického národa.
