Kniha zpracováním navazuje na jinou perlu vietnamské poezie - Nářky ženy, jejíž muž odešel do války (Protis, 2009). Obě knihy přeložil MUDr. Antonín Kolek, jenž ve Vietnamu působil v letech 1959-60 jako lékař a místní kulturu si zamiloval.
