The language contact of the inflectional Romani and Spanish, Catalan and other languages of the Iberian Peninsula began in the first half of the 15th century. The long-term and immediate contact between Romani and the language of the majority in several locations in Europe resulted in the emergence of what are known as the Para-Romani varieties - mixed languages which predominantly make use of the grammar of the surrounding language, while at least partly retaining the Romani-derived vocabulary. In the Iberian Peninsula, several Para-Romani varieties emerged. The process of their phonological, morphological and lexical evolution from the inflectional Iberian Romani is described in this book. In the opinion of the author, the original form of the Iberian Romani of the 15th century was similar to the Early Romani of the Byzantine period, which is thought to have ended by the 14th century when the Romani language started to disperse throughout Europe. The influence of Spanish (and other languages of the Iberian Peninsula) is evident not only in the morphology and syntax, but also in the phonology and semantics of the Iberian Para-Romani varieties. On the other hand, the Romani elements preserved in these varieties show conservative features as well as specific innovations, many of which can hardly be attributed to language contact. The description of the Iberian Para-Romani varieties is based on an extensive body of language material dated between the 17th and 21st centuries and also draws attention to some language phenomena in these varieties which, until now, have not previously been described.

A právě tahle deviza je obrazem a vkladem velkého hráče. Opravdového lídra. Jen uvažme, že v průběhu pomalu dvou desetiletí výtečně hrál v české lize (titul se Slavií 2008), zářil v Avantgardu Omsk (nejlepší střelec KHL 2011, neproduktivnější hráč play-off 2012), byl obdivovaný ve švýcarském Rapperswillu (nejproduktivnější a nejužitečnější hráč ligy 2022) a samozřejmě v dresu se lvíčkem na prsou (bronz MSJ 2005, bronz MS 2011 a 2022, zlato 2010 a 2024), přičemž poslední dva uvedené šampionáty vedl Čechy jako úspěšný kapitán. Roman si po vítězném pražském tažení za zlatem završeném triumfem nad Švýcary mohl s týmem i uvnitř sama sebe vychutnávat nádherný pocit i jakousi satisfakci. Ne vždycky měl české fanoušky zcela na své straně. Chtěli od něj ještě více, vědomi si jeho značných schopností, naprosto nejvíce. I po posledním bronzu na MS 2022 ve Finsku, kdy byl se ziskem 17 kanadských bodů vyhlášen nejužitečnějším hráčem, rovněž členem All Star. Tehdy byl společně s Davidy Pastrňákem a Krejčím součástí skvělé formace, která dovedla Česko po desetileté pauze ke světové medaili. Bronzu, opravdu sladkému, téměř pozlacenému, jakési předzvěsti „zlaté Prahy“. V onu opravdu zlatou postupně v průběhu šampionátu věřil sám, věřil v ní celý tým kouče a skvělého stratéga Radima Rulíka. „Já jsem vždycky věřil. Je to o vás,“ svěřil Roman po zlaté sklizni. „O tom, jaké budete podávat výkony. Jak na sobě makáte. Je třeba jít dál. Neznamená, že se člověk, s prominutím, posere z toho, když mu něco nevyjde, nebo když mu někdo vynadá. To by toho nikdo moc neodehrál. Takže jsem neměl podle mě myšlenky, že bych se na to vykašlal. Neměl. A hlavně k práci přistupuju tak, že musím vědět, že jsem udělal maximum. Pak se člověk sám sobě může podívat do očí. Já jsem fakt neustále makal, snažil se udržovat. Dneska vidíte, že se to člověku může i vrátit.“ Roman Červenka, skromný muž a velká osobnost českého hokeje, vyřkl jakési své krédo. Slovo, které platí obecně a globálně. Ostatně podobnými principy se řídili i největší giganti hokejové hry, které autor představuje ve speciální příloze nazvané NEJLEPŠÍ HOKEJISTÉ PŘELOMU 20. a 21. STOLETÍ. Na čele je fenomén Wayna Gretzkyho, s ním rovněž Jaromír Jágr a Mario Lemiuex. Společně s velkými současníky, Connorem McDavidem a Sidney Crosbym, také David Pastrňák. Roman Červenka, jeden z nejlepších českých hokejistů současnosti i nová legenda, je navíc sportovcem a člověkem charakterním a nesmírně pracovitým, současně zodpovědným manželem a otcem. The protective headgear worn by Roman foot soldiers of the Republican period was adopted directly from the Etruscans, who had in turn adapted helmets from neighbouring European cultures within and beyond the Italian peninsula. In this study, a renowned authority explains how its form remained largely unchanged until the Late Republic, when contact and conflict with a wider variety of cultures introduced new influences. The dynamic forces at work during civil wars and transition from the Republic to the Principate at the end of the 1st century BC saw a whole range of types introduced which then evolved until new influences prompted further changes.
