Soubor literárních kritik českých prozaických děl, které vyšly mezi léty 2010-2017. Zápisky o próze české tvoří komponovaný cyklus tří desítek kritických statí a navazuje tak chronologicky na autorův první soubor Prozaická zastavení. Kritiky zařazené do souboru byly vybrány s ohledem na vypovídající hodnotu recenzovaných prozaických knih, které se zásadní měrou podílely na utváření čtenářského horizontu druhé dekády jednadvacátého století. Není přitom rozhodující, zda se jedná o autory zavedené (Kratochvil, Soukupová), méně známé (Přibil, Laub, Šimáček), či začínající (Grombíř, Menšík, Faulerová, Vrba). Intepretace širokého spektra recenzovaných textů zajišťují mnohotvárný, plastický obraz literárního dění v současné české próze, zároveň ovšem přinášejí určité společné tendence, proudy a pohyby literárních textů. Není vyloučeno, že právě tyto sdílené konstanty se v následujících letech projeví jako směrodatné pro další vývoj české prozaické produkce.
