První celovečerní pořad skupiny Extempore Pohřeb funebráka aneb Plesnivé embryo z roku 1975 přinesl pásmo syrových, ironických a neučesaných písní Jaroslava Neduhy a kytarové experimenty Jiřího Hradce. Program plný černého humoru, ironie a parodií navíc plně potvrdil přerod někdejšího folkového dua v rockovou skupinu s patřičným zvukem. Kromě nadšených diváků se o členy Extempore začala již také zajímat Státní bezpečnost, protože i jí bylo jasné, že písně rozhodně neoslavují šťastný život pracujících v tehdejším Československu. Dobový postřeh zaznamenal i Mikoláš Chadima v knize Alternativa: „Byl to pořad nazvaný Pohřeb funebráka. A já čuměl jako vůl. Bylo to výborný. Neduhu jsem znal jen jako folkaře, teď hrál s rockovou kapelou muziku, kterou jsem sežral se vším všudy. Po delší době opět velký hudební zážitek.“ Skupina nemohla samozřejmě ani uvažovat o profesionální nahrávce svého repertoáru, kdyby se tak stalo, byla by dnes základní řada klasických alb domácího bigbeatu bohatší o jeden nepřeslechnutelný titul. Dobový záznam tedy vychází se čtyřicetiletým zpožděním poprvé oficiálně na CD a se zasvěceným komentářem Jaroslava Riedela.
