Vybrané básne poprednej slovenskej poetky strednej staršej generácie.Podracká je jedna z mála tých, ktorí ešte dávajú poézii zmysel existencie, lebo pochopili, že aktuálne to potrebuje viac ako kedykoľvek predtým. Cez seba pre ňu objavila modus operandi – spôsob, akým vie hovoriť originálne a účinne: „posvätný oheň treba zhasínať / a nanovo posväcovať v ústach, / maličkom chráme“. Nachádzame u nej bezprostrednú vieru v kompetencie básnickej výpovede, presvedčenie, že k básni pravda prirodzene patrí, že báseň dokáže vlastným jazykom uchopiť pravdu, aj a najmä univerzálnu. (...)Charakteristické momenty originality tejto poézie dopĺňajú prvky legiend a mýtov, náboženské, spoločenské a umelecké kontexty. Stavba básne sa však nerozpadá pod tlakom významovej rôznorodosti, nerozleptá ju ani jeden zo spomenutých prvkov. Do ohniska významového diania sa od prvého po posledný riadok dostáva lyrická rozprávačka, jej fabulácie a paraboly, etudy otvorené pôsobeniu reality a pocitov, jej detailná názornosť i exponované zamĺknutia, jej schopnosť lapidárne konštruovať nové významy od prvotného impulzu až k pointe, pritom nič neubrať z ich tajomnej, nevysloviteľnej hĺbky, nič nestratiť z možností poznávania prostredníctvom kontemplatívnej intuície, akéhosi posvätného odkrývania (sacrum). Rovnako ako dve predošlé autorkine zbierky Kubus (2014) a Paternoster (2018), aj aktuálna je vystavaná z desiatich cyklov po sedem básní a tak spolu tvoria trojicu či triptych.

Esejistická kniha Dany Podrackej je pokusom nájsť v Štúrovom diele duchovnú zem a zrekonštruovať za pomoci jeho myšlienok, ako aj myšlienok jeho rovesníkov, čím je a čím by mohol byť duchovný štát ako vedomá kultúrna voľba.
