Čím těsněji však spolu sny souvisejí nebo čím častěji se opakují, tím větší je nebezpečí, že je už nedokážeme od skutečnosti odlišit." Ve svých snech se Adorno setkává z různými osobnostmi kulturního a společenského života a doléhají na něj pocity viny v souvislosti s holocaustem, jemuž jako emigrant unikl. Často, možná v právě v této souvislosti, prožívá ve snech například svou vlastní popravu. Protokoly snů nabízejí překvapivý materiál k pochopení vnitřního světa Adornovy výjimečné osobnosti. ...
