Autor knížky španělských veršů Miloslav Uličný (*1942) vydal dosud kromě mnoha překladů, vlastních veršů a knihy povídek též první rýmovaný převod Máchova Máje do španělštiny. V té době již psal verše nejen česky, ale též španělsky, inspirován jak zájmem svých kubánských, španělských a mexických přátel, tak zážitky z pobytů ve Španělsku a v zámoří. Před několika lety tyto verše seřadil do knížky nazvané Servicio Nocturno (Noční služba) do oddílů, které zrcadlí jednotlivé etapy autorova života. Španělsky psané básně reflektují vzpomínky na zážitky v domově i v zemích, kde autor pobýval, a obsahují lyrické črty momentek i příběhy z dětství, jinošství a z dospělosti, přičemž se básník občas vyjadřuje humorně až sarkasticky a nevyhýbá se slovním a situačním hříčkám.
