V další části velitel tábora přijímá delegáta Červeného kříže (terezínské ghetto ve skutečnosti navštívila v červnu 1944 tříčlenná delegace). Velitel pak nutí židovského vězně jménem Gershom Gottfried (terezínský "židovský starší" se jmenoval Paul Eppstein), aby pro delegáta zinscenoval představení o životě ve "zkrášleném" ghettu. V závěrečné části Gershom vybízí své herce, aby se při hře "soustředili na svá gesta a slova". Ví, že musejí ignorovat vlaky, které odvážejí vězně do míst, o nichž diváci vědí a vězňové se obávají, že jsou to tábory smrti. Samotné slovo "Himmelweg" byl eufemismus používaný v táborech smrti k označení cesty do plynových komor. Mayorgův vrstevnatý text se zabývá nejen historickou brutalitou, ale zkoumá i smysl divadla života a smrti. Po úvodním monologu, odehrávajícím se několik let po události samotné, se děj hry vrací zpět a ukazuje zkoušení velmi neobvyklé hry, kdy židovským vězňům přiděluje role nacistický velitel. Při opakovaných návratech si diváci nikdy nejsou zcela jisti, zda jsou zpátky v roce 1944 nebo tady a teď, v přítomném prostoru a čase. Španělskou premiéru měla tato hra 17. 10. 2003 v Teatro Alameda v Málaze a o rok později ji s úspěchem nastudovalo Národní dramatické centrum (CDN) na jevišti Teatro María Guerrero v Madridu. Anglická premiéra následovala roku 2005 v londýnském Royal Court Theatre a hru pak viděli i diváci v Paříži, Buenos Aires, New Yorku nebo kanadském Winnipegu. Juan Antonio Mayorga Ruano (narozený roku 1965 v Madridu) je jedním z nejhranějších současných španělských dramatiků jak doma, tak v zahraničí. Vystudoval filosofii a matematiku a je profesorem dramaturgie a filosofie na Královské vysoké škole dramatického umění v Madridu. Rovněž vede seminář "Paměť a myšlení v současném divadle" ve Filosofickém ústavu CSIC. Jeho nejvýznamnější filosofickou prací je Konzervativní revoluce a revoluční konzervace. Politika a paměť u Waltera Benjamina (Revolución conservadora y conservación revolucionaria. Política y memoria en Walter Benjamin). V roce 2011 založil soubour La Loca de la Casa (Tichý blázen), s nímž o rok později inscenoval své dílo La lengua en pedazos (Jazyk na kousky). Je velmi plodným autorem - od roku 1989 píše jednu až dvě divadelní hry ročně. Jeho hra El chico de la última fila (Kluk z poslední řady) se stala předlohou filmu Françoise Ozona Dans la maison (U nich doma), který získal Zlatou mušli jako nejlepší film a cenu poroty za nejlepší scénář na festivalu v San Sebastiánu v roce 2012.
