Mária Terézia a Jozef II. tu mali tiež svoje miestnosti. Hrad bol 15 rokov panovníckym sídlom. Prof. PhDr. Mária Pötzl-Malíková, DrSc. sa narodila v roku 1935 v Kraľovanoch, vyrástla v Bratislave. Študovala dejiny umenia a dejepis v Bratislave a Prahe, promovala v Brne. Do roku 1969 pracovala v SAV v Bratislave, potom tri roky na Viedenskej univerzite. V rokoch 1991 až 2002 pôsobila opäť v Bratislave, na SAV a na Filozofickej fakulte Univerzity Komenského. Je autorkou monografií o F. X. Messerschmidtovi, ktoré vyšli v rokoch 1982 a 2015 vo Viedni. Žije v Mníchove a vo Viedni.
