Keď v roku 1965 mi vo Vydavateľstve Slovenskej akadémie vied vyšla kniha pod názvom Bioelektrická aktivita kože a v roku 1978 ďalšia kniha Psychofyziologické vlastnosti človeka, ani vo sne sa mi nemohlo zdať, že ešte aj v roku 2014 budú tieto knihy aktuálne a využiteľné. Prečo aktuálne a prečo využiteľné? Lebo sa zaoberajú výskumom tých fyziologických, resp. elektrofyziologických procesov (zmeny kožného odporu, dýchania, tepovej frekvencie, krvného tlaku, ale aj elektrickej aktivity mozgu), ktoré sú súčasťou aj tzv. detektora lži, ktorý práve pomocou nich vraj je schopný odhaliť, či vyšetrovaný hovorí pravdu alebo klame. Na napísanie tejto knihy som bol vyprovokovaný udalosťami, ktoré sa u nás odohrali v rokoch 2007 až 2014. Boli to práve udalosti spojené s využívaním detektora lži v našich podmienkach, ale hlavne fakt, že tento „objektívny“ ukazovateľ pravdovravnosti používajú v hojnej miere naše štátne inštitúcie, akými sú Ministerstvo vnútra SR a Národný bezpečnostný úrad. Keďže počas 40 rokov vedecko-výskumnej práce v Slovenskej akadémii vied (na psychofyziologickom pracovisku Ústavu experimentálnej psychológie SAV, ktoré som v roku 1970 minulého storočia založil ako prvé a jediné pracovisko v Československu), nenašiel som žiadne poznatky o význame týchto ukazovateľov pre odhaľovanie lži, bolo mojou morálnou povinnosťou, aby som príslušné štátne inštitúcie upozornil, ...
