Všechny tyto svazky představují důležitou součást historie naší fakulty a univerzity. Předkládaný slovník tedy začíná rokem 1945 a za konečné datum jsme volili pro dějiny univerzity symbolickou a důležitou osmičku (založení UK 1348, univerzitní reformy let 1848/49, dopad roku 1948 na univerzitní dějiny). Zařazeni jsou učitelé, kteří se habilitovali včetně roku 2008 a první svazek obsahuje osoby s příjmením začínajícím písmeny A-L.
