Valentín Beniak (1894 - 1973), básnik a prekladateľ, jeden z vrcholných predstaviteľov slovenskej poézie. Od roku 1939 pôsobil vo vysokých štátnych úradoch. V rokoch 1940 - 1945 bol predsedom Spolku slovenských spisovateľov. Po roku 1947 žil nútene na dôchodku. V jeho rozsiahlej tvorbe dielami najväčšieho básnického vzopätia sú zbierky Bukvica, Vigília, Druhá Vigília, Žofia, Popolec a Igric. Veľkolepá básnická skladba Igric ponúkaná čitateľovi v tomto obnovenom vydaní obsahuje knihu Igric z roku 1944 a ďalšie tri igricovské cykly (Márnica, Popol a prach a Nový spev igrica) z rokov, keď Beniak nemohol publikovať. Prvý raz ako celok vyšla roku 1968 v hamadovskom vydaní. Teraz sú do vej prevzaté Šmatlákove úpravy z roku 2000 a je nanovo zredigovaná. Autor v týchto veršoch trvalej hodnoty aktualizuje vo svojej básnickej autoštylizácii dávnu igricovskú tradíciu. V časovo a tematicky nadväzujúcich štyroch cykloch hlboko osobne reflektuje ťaživú a znepokojivú spoločensko-historickú situáciu z obdobia prvej Slovenskej republiky i potom po vojne a nástupe komunistického režimu. Povolaný a vedomý si svojho povolania, veď bol "cechmajstrom igricov" na Slovensku, stavia sa pritom v mene Poézie na obranu básnickej tvorivosti, proti jej znehodnocovaniu oportunným, politicky motivovaným konaním.

Vojtěch Hrabák se narodil roku 1997 v Praze. Po ukončení hudebně-dramatického oboru v roce 2017 na pražské konzervatoři se plně začal věnovat herectví. Hrál v mnoha divadelních představeních. Pravidelně spolupracuje s Divadlem X10, A studio Rubín, MeetFactory, Divadlem D21 a Chemickým divadlem.
