Do dějin české fotografie se Miloň Novotný zapsal ve svých osmatřiceti letech vynikající knihou Londýn, která vyšla v období pražského jara. Po sovětské okupaci se ocitl na indexu nežádoucích autorů a nemohl publikovat. Jednou z možností, jak se uživit, byla spolupráce se Svazem českých skladatelů a koncertních umělců. Miloň Novotný však nebyl rutinní fotograf, a tak se nám díky jeho talentu a přísné umělecké selekci dochovala unikátní sbírka skvělých portrétů tehdy začínajících i slavných hudebníků. U příležitosti nedožitých devadesátin autora připravilo nakladatelství KANT ve spolupráci s fotografkou Danou Kyndrovou publikaci s více než sto šedesáti fotografiemi, které tak budou představeny veřejnosti vůbec poprvé.
