Není divu, že pohádky byly několikrát revidovány, aby byly přístupné i pro dětské čtenářské publikum. Mnohé příběhy prošly v průběhu několika desetiletí spoustou úprav, aby vyhovovaly představám o tom, co je pro děti vhodné. V češtině byly poprvé vydány na přelomu 19. a 20. století pod názvem Dětské pohádky: dle sbírky bratří Grimmů. V roce 1929 vyšel výběr O Palečkovi a jiné pohádky v překladu Pavly Wenigové a od té ...
