Opět zde ožívají vzpomínky na detaily z dětství na statku v rodném Kameringu, prožívané pod ochranou obrazu Raffaelovy madony a poznamenané smrtí tří matčiných bratrů ve 2. světové válce. Pojítkem vzpomínek je tentokrát mimo jiné svěcená voda, kterou "Seppl" nosíval matce z kostela, a s vírou v její léčivé účinky se znovu setkává v ukrajinském pravoslavném kostele. A byla to právě matka, která jej učila "držet tužku v té správné ruce".
