Dúbravku neobišli napoleonské vojny a bola zničená aj počas Prusko-rakúskej vojny v roku 1866. Obec bola pripojená k Bratislave v roku 1946.Juraj Hradský (1953), výtvarník a publicista. Je autorom viacerých monografií o historických zbraniach. Podľa jeho výtvarných návrhov boli zhotovené zbrane pre Čestnú stráž prezidenta. O dejinách hlavného mesta napísal knihy Napoleon a Bratislava, Bratislavskí majstri kati, Legenda na rohu – Štefánka, Rusovce, Jarovce, Lamač, Čunovo a Dúbravka. Je členom Československej a Medzinárodnej napoleonskej spoločnosti, Slovenskej muzeálnej spoločnosti a Slovenskej genealogickej a heraldickej spoločnosti. Žije a tvorí v Bratislave.
