Kniha Co to šumí? Blankytný vesmír obsahuje výběr z básnické tvorby Vladimíra Mikeše z let 2019 až 2022. Navazuje na předešlou sbírku Odkud to přichází? (2021) a editoři Antonín Petruželka a Jonáš Hájek za spolupráce Anity Krausové a Hany Tomkové vybírali z 1824 básní. Provedli redukci na konečný počet 184 básní (36 z roku 2019, 71 z roku 2020, 51 z roku 2021 a 26 z roku 2022), přičemž se snažili, aby v nové knize byly zastoupeny pokud možno všechny okruhy či linie autorovy tvorby (z hlediska témat i poetiky), včetně typu "ready-mades" (využití textů z médií či z Bible). Autor mluví o této své tvorbě jako o básnickém deníku. Datum na konci každé básně proto označuje den, kdy byla dopsána. S výjimkou začátku knihy editoři respektovali chronologický sled vybraných textů. Stejně jako u předešlé knihy Odkud to přichází? se opět setkáváme s originální reflexí, hlubinným tázáním po smyslu existence člověka, po jeho ukotvenosti v jazyce a místě.
