Its purpose is to provide students with the basics of professional English in administrative law. Each lesson contains legal texts, key words, questions to think about, and several types of linguistic exercises. Predkladaná publikácia sumarizuje rozhodovaciu prax slovenských súdov predovšetkým v otázkach zodpovednosti advokáta za škodu spôsobenú v súvislosti s výkonom advokácie (1. časť), teda za škodu spôsobenú klientovi advokáta, ktorý je s ním v zmluvnom vzťahu (§ 26 zákona č. 586/2003 Z. z. o advokácii).Osobitným problémom je zodpovednosť advokáta za škodu v iných prípadoch, t. j. vo vzťahu k bývalému klientovi alebo tretej osobe. Rozhodnutia k tejto téme sú zhromaždené v 2. časti. Vychádzajú z toho, že zodpovednosť advokáta v týchto prípadoch sa riadi všeobecnou úpravou zodpovednostných vzťahov (§ 415, § 420 Občianskeho zákonníka). Hoci postupom času sa judikatúra k téme zodpovednosti advokáta za škodu vykryštalizovala, rôznorodosť skutkových situácií, ktorú prináša prax, necháva viaceré otázky do budúcnosti otvorené. Práve táto rôznorodosť skutkových situácií vyvolala potrebu spracovať rozhodnutia zaradené do tejto publikácie tak, že bol daný pomerne široký priestor popisu skutkového stavu rozhodovaných vecí a citácií úvah, ktoré súdy viedli k rozhodnutiu, hoci samotná právna veta je v prípade rozhodnutí obdobná. Zmysel tohto prístupu spočíva práve v tom, že súdna prax dôsledne vopred zvažovala podriadenie skutkovo osobitných prípadov pod postupne sa zjednocujúce právne závery.Vzhľadom na to, že obdobne je upravená zodpovednosť advokáta za škodu spôsobenú v súvislosti s výkonom advokácie v Českej republike (§ 24 zákona č. 85/1996 Sb. o advokácii), zaradená bola do publikácie aj česká judikatúra k téme, ktorá je pomerne bohatá a inšpiratívna.Osobitne sú v publikácii zhromaždené aj rozhodnutia súdov zaoberajúce sa zodpovednosťou advokáta za právny názor a hranicami tejto zodpovednosti vo vzťahu k zodpovednosti advokáta za neznalosť.V závere publikácie je pre úplnosť zaradený prehľad vybranej (slovenskej a českej) odbornej literatúry k téme zodpovednosti advokáta za škodu.Výber judikatúry je určený predovšetkým advokátom, ale v neposlednom rade aj sudcom, prokurátorom, vyšším súdnym úradníkom a širokej verejnosti, ktorá sa môže s problematikou zodpovednosti advokáta za škodu stretnúť.
