Jeho hlavními zájmy jsou paleontologie obratlovců, dějiny přírodních věd, astronomie a historie obecně. V knize DINOSAUŘI – rekordy a zajímavosti uplatnil svoji zálibu v rekordních statistikách všeho druhu a seznamuje čtenáře s mnoha NEJ ze světa dinosaurů. Vladimír Rimbala (* 26. listopadu 1978) se po ukončení Střední zemědělské školy ve Spišské Nové Vsi a povinné vojenské služby rozhodl cestovat a po různých životních zkušenostech, také po osmi letech strávených na severu Norska, se rozhodl žít v Čechách. Cestování a všeobecný zájem o přírodu, pravěk, historii a umění ho přivedly k ilustrování knih a coby samouka též k vytvoření unikátního stylu kresby a malby.
