Jen několik let trvala aktivní existence dnes už kultovní skupiny Free Faces (1997 -2001). Přestože během těchto let vydali jen dvě alba, jejich hudba je stále aktuální a patří k nejosobitějším slovenským hudebním počinům. Členové... Jen několik let trvala aktivní existence dnes už kultovní skupiny Free Faces (1997 -2001). Přestože během těchto let vydali jen dvě alba, jejich hudba je stále aktuální a patří k nejosobitějším slovenským hudebním počinům. Členové skupiny Oskar Rózsa, Maroš Hečko, Marcel Buntaj a Andrej Šeban patří dodnes k nejzajímavějším a nejinvenčnějším hudebníkům slovenské scény, a i když se každý z nich dnes věnuje svým sólovým projektům, to, co se jim podařilo vytvořit ve společném seskupení, hlavně jejich první album Almost True Story, si celkem určitě zasloužilo znovu vydat. Album vyšlo původně v roce 1998 u nezávislého vydavatelství Silberman jen jako CD. Skupina po jeho vydání absolvovala vyprodané turné a skladby z alba se dostaly i do vysílání rádií a TV. Za album získali cenu Hudební akademie v kategorii Objav roku, Nahrávka roku a Obal roku. Naplánované bylo i zahraniční turné, v jednání bylo i vydání alba v zahraničí. Doba a podmínky tomu však nebyly nakloněné, a i cesty jednotlivých hudebníků se nakonec na nějakou dobu rozešly. Některé z písní alba vznikly na anglické texty beatnického básníka Lawrence Ferlinghettiho, dva texty dodal Roman Gal a pod ostatní texty se podepsal Maroš Hečko. Hudebně bylo album tím, že vznikalo přímo ve studiu, trochu jiné než živá vystoupení skupiny. Ta byla charakterizovaná a vyhledávaná pro obrovskou živou energii, která šla z hudebníků, a hlavně pro skvělou improvizační schopnost všech členů skupiny. Studiová práce na albu v sobě nese víc promyšlených kompozic a hudební disciplíny, z celkem 12 skladeb jsou tři signované jako Free Faces, pod ostatní se autorsky podepsal tandem Hečko/Rózsa. Kromě členů skupiny na albu hrají Martin Burlas, Martin Ďurdina a Igor Sabo. Nahrávka vznikla pod hudební režií Oskara Rózsy a Free Faces, Oskar Rózsa je podepsaný i pod současným remasteringem alba. Jen několik let trvala aktivní existence dnes už kultovní skupiny Free Faces (1997 -2001). Přestože během těchto let vydali jen dvě alba, jejich hudba je stále aktuální a patří k nejosobitějším slovenským hudebním počinům. Členové... Jen několik let trvala aktivní existence dnes už kultovní skupiny Free Faces (1997 -2001). Přestože během těchto let vydali jen dvě alba, jejich hudba je stále aktuální a patří k nejosobitějším slovenským hudebním počinům. Členové skupiny Oskar Rózsa, Maroš Hečko, Marcel Buntaj a Andrej Šeban patří dodnes k nejzajímavějším a nejinvenčnějším hudebníkům slovenské scény, a i když se každý z nich dnes věnuje svým sólovým projektům, to, co se jim podařilo vytvořit ve společném seskupení, hlavně jejich první album Almost True Story, si celkem určitě zasloužilo znovu vydat. Album vyšlo původně v roce 1998 u nezávislého vydavatelství Silberman jen jako CD. Skupina po jeho vydání absolvovala vyprodané turné a skladby z alba se dostaly i do vysílání rádií a TV. Za album získali cenu Hudební akademie v kategorii Objav roku, Nahrávka roku a Obal roku. Naplánované bylo i zahraniční turné, v jednání bylo i vydání alba v zahraničí. Doba a podmínky tomu však nebyly nakloněné, a i cesty jednotlivých hudebníků se nakonec na nějakou dobu rozešly. Některé z písní alba vznikly na anglické texty beatnického básníka Lawrence Ferlinghettiho, dva texty dodal Roman Gal a pod ostatní texty se podepsal Maroš Hečko. Hudebně bylo album tím, že vznikalo přímo ve studiu, trochu jiné než živá vystoupení skupiny. Ta byla charakterizovaná a vyhledávaná pro obrovskou živou energii, která šla z hudebníků, a hlavně pro skvělou improvizační schopnost všech členů skupiny. Studiová práce na albu v sobě nese víc promyšlených kompozic a hudební disciplíny, z celkem 12 skladeb jsou tři signované jako Free Faces, pod ostatní se autorsky podepsal tandem Hečko/Rózsa. Kromě členů skupiny na albu hrají Martin Burlas, Martin Ďurdina a Igor Sabo. Nahrávka vznikla pod hudební režií Oskara Rózsy a Free Faces, Oskar Rózsa je podepsaný i pod současným remasteringem alba.
