Using a critical disaster studies lens, the authors recognise the role of governments and multinational businesses in profiteering from and manipulating for their own advantage the misery caused by disasters. Case studies of different stages of disaster, from risk reduction and disaster preparedness through to the almost inevitable resistance to failed government intervention, illustrate the possibilities and limitations of applied theatre and other art forms to navigate these times. Applied theatre is seen as a vital act of aesthetic and political hope.At a time of never-ending, overlapping disasters, this book will be important to researchers and postgraduate students working in applied theatre and disaster research in the social sciences. CD Album Bára Basiková, Jakub Hübner - Příští stanice Muzikálová (2022). Stěžejními body projektu jsou dva slavné muzikály. Jeden český a jeden zahraniční. Toto CD má poměrně zajímavou genezi svého vzniku. Jeho sólisty jsou Bára Basiková a Jakub Hübner. Bára se s Jakubem potkali několikrát na koncertech, kde oba vystupovali. Například na koncertě Muzikál expres 30 v Hudebním divadle Karlín. Postupem času mezi oběma vznikl vzájemný respekt i sympatie. První jejich společnou nahrávkou byla skladba Byl den a padla noc, která vyšla loni na Jakubově vánočním CD a je i bonusem toho dnešního. Muzikál expres se tedy rozhodl dát ve své letošní produkci se Symfonickým orchestrem Českého rozhlasu prostor právě jim. Stěžejními body projektu jsou dva slavné muzikály. Jeden český a jeden zahraniční. Bára Basiková titulní roli Johanky z Arku ztvárnila hned v několika nastudováních a Jakub Hübner melodie Johanky ve svém kontratenorovém rejstříku interpretoval s takovou přesvědčivostí, že skladatele Ondřeje Soukupa přesvědčil, aby mu jednu ze dvou skladeb svěřil v této produkci. Navíc poskytl oběma i zcela nový duet Ráno zítřejší bude moudřejší, který otextoval Michael Prostějovský. A tak vznikly nahrávky se symfonickou partiturou, která kultovní Johance z Arku dává novou dimenzi. Druhým titulem je „muzikálový šperk“ Andrewa Lloyda ... Unknown localization key: "more"
