Navzdory skepticismu okolí a později i katolického tisku měly všechny tři děti ohromující víru a ve svém jednání mohou být příkladem rovněž pro dospělé. Přesto knížka nevyznívá jako barvotiskový popis nedostižných světců, naopak děti vykresluje ve vší jejich dětské prostotě a přirozenosti, což zvláště vynikne v rozhovorech, které mezi sebou vedou. Kniha obsahuje popis šesti zjevení z roku 1917 i osudy všech tří dětí a jejich rodin.
